NPTech and its family of companies — including Community Fiber, Quality Cablevision, Simplify Tech, and Advanced Products Group — are committed to your privacy. We are a locally-owned company based in New Paris, Indiana, and have been serving this community since 1901. This policy is written to be plain and readable, not buried in legal jargon.

1. Who This Policy Covers

This policy applies to the following NPTech-operated websites and tools:

• np-tech.com — the NPTech corporate website
• search.np-tech.com — the fiber service availability tool
• search.communityfiber.net — the Community Fiber availability tool

Each subsidiary may have its own supplemental service agreements. This policy governs data collected across the properties listed above at the NPTech parent level.

2. What We Collect

A. Information You Give Us Directly

• Fiber availability searches: When you enter a service address to check availability on our websites or search tools, we save that address. This helps us understand where demand for service exists and prioritize future network expansion. No account is created and no personal identity is attached to an availability lookup unless you choose to provide it separately.
• Contact form submissions (np-tech.com): When you submit a contact request, we collect your name, email address, phone number, service address, and the content of your message.
• Service interest forms (search.np-tech.com and search.communityfiber.net): If you provide contact information through our availability search tools — for example, to be notified when service becomes available in your area or to request a service quote — we collect and retain that contact information.

B. Information Collected Automatically (With Your Consent)

With your permission via the consent banner shown on your first visit, our analytics system collects:

• Pages visited and links clicked
• Browser type and operating system (user agent string)
• Screen resolution
• Browser language setting
• Referring website or search engine
• A randomly generated session identifier (not linked to your identity)

If you decline the consent banner, none of this data is recorded. The site works fully regardless of your choice. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site.

C. Data Handled by Third-Party Services

• Google Maps / Places API: Address input in our search tools is processed by Google's Places Autocomplete service. Google's own privacy policy governs how they handle that data.
• Firebase (Google Cloud): We use Firebase for secure data storage. Anonymous authentication tokens are used to secure submissions. These tokens are not linked to any personal identity.

3. How We Use Your Information

4. Data Sharing and Our No-Sale Commitment

We share data only in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers: Vendors who help us operate our infrastructure (cloud hosting, billing systems) are bound by strict contractual data protection requirements and may only use data to provide those services.
• Legal requirements: We disclose data when compelled by a valid court order, subpoena, or other lawful legal process. We will notify affected users when legally permitted to do so.
• Within our family of companies: NPTech subsidiaries may access contact or address data to fulfill a service request you initiated — for example, routing a fiber inquiry to Community Fiber's operations team.

5. Your Privacy Rights

As an Indiana resident, you have the following rights under the Indiana Consumer Data Protection Act (INCDPA), effective January 1, 2026:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
• Opt-out of analytics: Decline or revoke analytics consent via the banner on our site, or by clearing local storage for this site in your browser settings.
• Non-discrimination: We will not deny you service or treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

California residents may also have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what data we hold and the right to request deletion.

6. Data Retention

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures — including Google Firebase's authentication and security rules — to protect data in transit and at rest. No internet transmission is completely secure. We encourage you not to send sensitive information such as full account numbers or passwords via web forms. If you have a sensitive matter, please call us directly.

8. Children's Privacy

Our websites are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through one of our sites, please contact us at info@nptel.com and we will promptly delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of our websites after any update constitutes your acknowledgment of the revised policy.
